RENEWABLE ENERGY CERTIFICATES

Vietnam’s commitment to renewable energy has developed with the introduction of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-RECs). These certificates are market-based instruments that provide evidence that 1 megawatt-hour (MWh) of electricity was generated from an eligible renewable energy source. I-REC, on the other hand, is a globally recognised standard for tracking and documenting renewable energy.
