Offical Letter No. 8981/VPCP-CN from the Administration Office on promulgating and updating the Plan for implementing the National Power Development Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050

 The main points are:

(i) Review and resolve problems with 154 projects related to inspection and investigation conclusions, and update according to current criteria.
(ii) Evaluate and study energy projects such as floating solar power, wind power with storage systems, waste-to-energy, biomass power, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
(iii) Consider recommendations from localities such as Thanh Hoa (connecting to the Cong Thanh LNG power project), Quang Nam (updating capacity, adding new projects), and Ninh Binh (relocating thermal power plants).
(iv) Evaluate energy projects overlapping mineral areas and transfer excess biomass power capacity in localities.
(v) The Ministry of Industry and Trade completes the draft decision to supplement and update the Implementation Plan for the 8th Power Plan (2nd time), ensuring transparency and efficiency, and submits it to the Prime Minister before December 10, 2024.

The document was issued to resolve difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of Power Plan VIII, ensuring synchronous, effective and practical implementation, while reviewing and updating energy projects to ensure compliance with current legal regulations.
