PROVIDING INFORMATION FOR CONSIDERATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE PDP8 IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

On July 6, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) issued the Official Letter No. 4367/BCT-ĐL on providing information for consideration and development of the PDP8 Implementation Plan, sent to provincial People’s Committees.

For having a basis to develop, finalize and submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval the PDP8 Implemention Plan, the MOIT has requested provincial People’s Committees to coordinate and provide data about potential power source projects in the region, speifically as follows:

1. In regard to power source projects are being implemented:

- List the statistic, scale, location and connection plan of the projects.

- Briefly provide the status of projects implementation, assess the obstacles and expect the progress of putting into operation.

- Proposals and recommendations.

2. In regard to the projects that have been approved before the DPP8 approval:

2.1. If the project has carried out some tasks: list the statistic, scale, location, status of implemented tasks, assess level of development priority, review the possibility and recommend to postpone the progress, stop implementing or delete from the PDP if any.

2.2. If the project has not been carried out tasks yet:  provide project information and assess development priority.

3. In regard to power source projects (not included in section 1 and 2 above) that are proposed in the PDP8 Implementation Plan:

Provide information of proposed projects for the Prime Minister to consider, develop in the PDP8 Implementation Plan, especially the projects have already conducted some preparatory tasks; assess project development priority. Proposed projects need to be consistent with land – use planning.
