PROPOSAL FOR LIST OF PROJECTS IN POWER DEVELOPMENT PLAN VIII IN CA MAU

On 07 June 2023, the People’s Committee of Ca Mau has issued Official Letter 4201/UBND-KT on proposal for list of projects in Power Development Plan VIII (PDP8) in Ca Mau.

In the Official Letter 4201, the People’s Committee of Ca Mau proposes that total capacities of Renewable Energy reaches 13,582 MW (including 34 wind projects, 02 biomass projects, 03 garbage projects and 01 LNG projects). In addition, as estimated by Ca Mau authority, there are 16,000 MW of off-grid solar and wind power in Ca Mau for manufacturing Green Hydrogen and electricity export.

In the context that PDP8 has not detailed the RE projects in the power planning, provincial authorities of each province shall submit list of potential RE projects for the appraisal of Ministry of Industry and Trade and Prime Minister.
