PHU YEN'S PROPOSAL OF A LIST OF PROJECTS IN THE PDP8 IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

On June 23, 2023, Phu Yen provincial People’s Commitee issued the Official Letter no. 2952/UBND-ĐTXD on the proposal of a list of projects in the PDP8 Implementation Plan, sent to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).

In order to effectively exploit the potential of renewable energy sources as well as promote socio-economic development for the locality, Phu Yen provincial People’s Commitee has requested the MOIT to consider and update renewable energy projects in Phu Yen province into the PDP8 Implementation Plan. The total capacity of these projects is 6982 MW and the transmission line, substation projects are as follows:

1. Power source projects:

- 22 onshore wind power projects, total capacity of 2655 MW.

- 08 offshore wind power projects, total capacity of 2000 MW.

- 11 solar power projects, total capacity of 1602 MWp.

- 03 biomass power projects, total capacity of 110 MW.

- 02 projects to generate electricity from garbage and solid waste, with a capacity of 25 MW.

- 06 hydropower projects with total capacity of 590 MW.

2. Line and substation projects:

- 500kV transmission lines and substations, including: 01 Tuy Hoa 500kV substation with a capacity of 900 MVA; 500kV transmission line with a length of 05 km.

- 220 kV transmission lines and substations, including: 03 220 KV substations with a total capacity of 1250 MVA; 07 220kV transmission lines with a total length of 445km.
