EVN GROUP REQUESTS GUIDANCE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ROOFTOP SOLAR ELECTRICITY WITHOUT GENERATING EXCESS ENERGY OUTPUT TO THE GRID

On 20 May 2023, the EVN_Group has issued Official Letter 2644/EVN-KD+KH (OL_2644) to Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) to request the official guidance for the development of rooftop solar electricity without generating excess energy output to the grid.

On the basis that (i) EVN_Group had various official documents for the development of self-consumption rooftop solar system without energy grid generation and (ii) PDP8 highlights that the self-consumption rooftop solar system is encouraged for investment without any capacity or planning limitation, in which the estimated additional capacity in 2030 being 2,600MW, OL_2644 requests an official guidance for the self-consumption rooftop solar system and standard for zero-export system.
