ANNOUNCEMENT NO. 379/TB-VPCP

On September 14, 2023, The Office of the Government issued the Announcement No.379/TB-VPCP, hereby pointing out the conclusions of the Deputy Prime Minister at the meeting on the Draft Plan for Implementing PDP VIII.

Some noteworthy points from this document are:

1. The plan for implementing PDP VIII is very challenging. Despite efforts and endeavors in the construction and completion process, the Draft Plan for Implementing PDP VIII in Document No. 6046/TTr-BCT still does not fully meet the detailed requirements for feasible, effective implementation, and the sequence and procedures are still incomplete.

2. The MOIT is responsible for researching and considering opinions from various ministries and agencies to improve the Plan for Implementing PDP VIII. Key points include ensuring the implementation of approved objectives, reviewing the progress of projects, and examining the feasibility of piloting the transfer of offshore wind power projects from EVN to domestic enterprises. The MOIT will also ensure that the procedures for developing the Plan for Implementing PDP VIII are in accordance with the law.

3. Based on the completion of procedures as required and the full implementation of the above-mentioned requirements, the MOIT will promptly finalize the Prime Minister's submission on the Plan for Implementing PDP VIII.
