PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING FOR A LICENSE TO ESTABLISH A COCIAL NETWORK FOR ENTERPRISES

To have a social network operating legally, businesses need a license to operate social networks from the authorities. A business social network setup license is a type of license issued by an authority, allowing a business or organization to establish and operate an online social network.

We would like to advise some procedures and processes on issuing social network licenses for businesses: 

According to Article 23 of Decree No. 27/2018/ND-CP, the conditions for enterprises to be granted licenses to establish social networks must fully satisfy some of the following conditions:

1. It is established under Vietnam’s law and its functions, tasks, or registered business lines are conformable with the services and information posted on the national business registration portal;
2. It has qualified personnel as prescribed in Article 23a of Decree 27/2018/NĐ-CP;
3. The domain names to establish the news website of social networking site are registered and conformable to Article 23b of Decree 27/2018/NĐ-CP;
4. Organizations and enterprises that have registered domain names, used to set up general websites, social networks and meet regulations;
5. It has measures for information safety, security and management as prescribed in Article 23d of Decree 27/2018/NĐ-CP;
6. Measures should be taken to ensure information security, information security and information management.
